SIA Security Training Courses

The security industry in the uk is regulated by the security industry act. The regulatory body to controll the security industry in UK is SIA ( Security Industry AUthority). There are certain categories and security functions if you want to work in them you would be required to undertake approriate training from an approved training provider and then apply to sia for the concerned licencse for which you have been trained. The licensed activities in the Uk include following ( there are slight variotions as regards to scotland and N Ireland).

If you wish to work and provide your services as security operative in any of the above categories you shall be required to apply for a licencse from the regulatory authority which is SIA.

Door supervisors comonly known as bouncers are security operatives which work on licensed premesis, if you intend to work on a licensed premesis you shall require a door supervisor licencse.
